The latest LIE: American Pravda media claims President Trump made it easier for mentally ill to buy guns

Talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh made an observation last week about the so-called “mainstream” media: If someone is merely a casual consumer of the news, they have no idea how badly they’re being lied to, manipulated, and kept in the dark about facts and truths that functioning societies need to remain functioning societies.

In particular, Limbaugh was talking about the incredible amounts of blatantly biased false, Left-wing indoctrination that is being pushed by the American Pravda media and their idiot enablers in the pop culture following the latest school shooting in Florida — which, it turns out, was entirely preventable.

Under the guise of “news,” these reports really are little more than political propaganda aimed at pushing a far-Left agenda. “If protecting kids and the children is the objective here, then somebody else needs to take over because the American media and the Democrat Party do not have a solution. They have things that are going to advance themselves politically, but they do not have a solution,” he said.

That’s exactly right and, right on cue to prove his point, the broadcast networks — ABC, NBC, CBS — and others quickly swung into action to inform as many people as possible that what happened in Florida was all President Donald J. Trump’s fault.

Huh? But how? Does the president of the United States really want American schoolchildren to be gunned down? Does he really want to see parents grieving over the body of a dead child?

Sure he does, the Pravda media reported…that’s why he made it so much easier for people suffering from mental illness to get a gun.

As reported by Newsbusters:

Fresh off their disinformation campaign in the immediate aftermath of the Parkland, Florida school shooting in which they falsely claimed there had been 18 school shootings this year, the three major network news outlets (ABC, CBS, and NBC) moved on to another fake news topic they wanted to push on the American people: President Trump and the GOP made it easier for mentally ill people to buy guns.

According to various reports, admitted Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz had a number of mental health issues…also Trump’s fault, no doubt. But no one did anything about it, which is the subject of another story entirely. (Related: PSYCH DRUG SHOOTERS: Florida school shooter “was on medication,” reports Miami Herald, just like nearly all other mass shooters.)

The ludicrous accusation made by the networks that legislation aimed at removing restrictions that allow mentally ill people to buy firearms was passed by Republicans and signed by Trump has long been debunked.

As National Review’s Charles C.W. Cooke wrote more than a year ago, what got removed was “in layman’s terms: The rule would have allowed bureaucrats within one of our federal agencies to bar American citizens from exercising a constitutional right — and on the highly questionable grounds that to be incapable of managing one’s finances is, by definition, to be a ‘mental defective.’”

But hey, the American Pravda media isn’t interested in reporting the truth because the truth helps Trump and Republicans while exposing the disgusting Left as the liars they are.

“The President’s efforts to comfort the nation tonight striking for what he didn’t say,” scolded White House Correspondent Peter Alexander during NBC Nightly News. “President Trump in a nearly seven-minute statement not once mentioning the word ‘Guns.’ Instead, again signaling his focus is on the mental health of shooters, not the weapons they use.”

CBS Evening News anchor Jeff Glor further complained that “President Trump did not mention gun laws when he addressed the nation today about the shooting.”

For the record, federal law still prohibits the sale of firearms to anyone authorities have deemed to be mentally ill. Even ABC News’ Justice Correspondent knew this, reporting that “it’s unclear whether any court or commission designated Cruz mentally unfit. So, it appears he fell through the cracks.”

But by all means, let’s write new laws because those will finally, finally, work.

Until someone else ‘falls through the cracks.’

Apparently, it’s too much for the American Pravda media to report that fact.
